Jeremy Athey, Athlete (Class of 1995)
Jeremy Athey participated for four years in Southern Local track acquiring numerous awards and accolades. Jeremy was the first Southern Local athlete to place and score points at the State Track Meet. Jermey did no do it just once but three years at State in the 200 meter dash. Jeremy holds the school records in the 100 meter dash (10.8 seconds), the 200 meter dash (22.7 seconds), and the discus (156'5"). Jeremy was a member of the 4 X 10 meter relay team which holds the school record (45.2 seconds). All four years Jeremy garnered top honors - high point sprints, high point field events, setting school records and most valuable player. Over his four year career, Jeremy won championships in Tri-County East Palestine League and County 14 times in the 100 meter, twice in the 200 meter, and six in the discus. For this record achievement, Jeremy was boded the 1995 Columbiana County Male Athlete of the Year by the Greater Youngstown Officials Association. The final honor Jeremy received for track was to be honored at the 100th Columbiana County Track and Field Meet as a record holder in the 100 meter dash.

Albert "Cracker" Brammer, Athlete (Class of 1954) (Posthumously)
Albert "Cracker" Brammer was honored for his participation in both football and basketball during is four years at Salineville High School. During his junior year on the Six Man Football Team, Cracker averaged 24 points per game. They won five games and lost two that season - the best school record in three years. Cracker excelled in basketball. In 1953, the basketball team set a new game scoring record in defeating Dellroy High School 95-55. Cracker was the high scorer with 27 points. In 1954, Cracker set a new individual scoring record by tossing in 47 points during their victory over Dellroy, 92-87. Also in 1954, the Salineville team was the Columbiana County Class B Basketball Champions. Cracker was the leading scorer in the championship game with 27 points. Cracker was the second leading scorer in the county for the 1953-54 basketball season with 518 points, averaging 26 points per game. Cracker was a supporter of the Little Indians football program and was past pretend of the athletic boosters. Cracker's son, Todd accepted the award.
Rob Carter, Athlete (Class of 1970)
Rob Carter earned three varsity letters in baseball and three varsity letters in basketball. Rob was most successful in basketball. He received three MVP awards, three 1st Team Buckeye Border conference, and two Special Mention All Ohio Class A awards. Rob was the Evening Review Area Scoring Leader with 23 points per game in the 1968-69 season. Rob held the Southern Local Career Points Record with 1192 until 2004. After graduation, Rob accepted a basketball scholarship from Walsh University. He lettered there one year.
Marlene Green Corbisello, Contributor (Class of 1951)
Marlene Green Corbisello is an Indian through and through. She graduated from Salineville High School in 1951. She was class president both her junior and senior year and head majorette for three years. It was her work for Southern Local after graduation that earned her recognition from the Salineville-Southern Athlete Hall of Fame. Marlene was always the person you could turn to for help with anything to do with Southern Local - new uniforms (help raise money), alumni dinners, (help organize and even cook the meal), students who needed scholarships (get the alumni to take care of that). Marlene served on the Board of Education from 1979-1982. She has always been supportive of Southern Local's growth academically. Marlene was an active member of the athlete boosters because she always encouraged Southern Local athletics. There are many who believe that Marlene is the most dedicated Southern Local alumnus there is and they are not far off - she is proud of her roots in Salineville and prouder still of her Alma Mater. Marlene's involvement in school and community earned her a Jaycee's "Woman of the Year" award and she was twice honored by the Alumni Association.
Sarah Francis, Athlete (Class of 1996)
Sarah Francis earned twelve varsity letters in her four years at Southern Local, only the second athlete to ever do so. Sarah retains 3 points shot records in basketball for the season (40), and for career (111); and retains the record for the shot put in track with a throw of 36'3 1/2". Honors Sarah received during her career at Southern Local include: All Ohio Honorable mention in both basketball and volleyball as well as 1st Team County and Evening Review. In basketball, Sarah received 1st Team TCL and All County as well as being name Player of the Year and being chosen to play in the North/South Game, the first Southern Local athlete to receive that honor. In track, her senior year, Sarah won a gold medal in the East Palestine Track League, TCL and County Meets in the shot put and a silver medal in the disco. Sarah receive a number of other awards - school, TCL, county, newspaper through her area. Following graduation, Sarah went to Rio Grande University where she earned two varsity letters playing basketball.
